In case you already have an account, you might just want to login. Once you're logged in, you can edit your hosts or check your traffic.

Register

If you just moved in to the ASK, you should create an account using the link below. After you've registered for an account, an admin will review your data and activate your account. Until that happens, you might want to create a host which tells our system some neccesary details about your computer. click here

Traffic

The traffic limit is active again. This means that if you exceed the traffic limit you wont be able to establish internet connection any more.
There are stages of 3:

Stage 1: You have reached 4.3GB traffic. You can still use the full bandwidth but your packages will be less highly prioritized at high network load.

Stage 2: You have reached 4.5GB traffic. You will now share with all other users in this pool is a 1Mbit Bandwidth.

Stage 3: You have reached 4.7GB traffic and you wont be able to use the extern network until your traffic has reduced (you can still use the internal network, e.g. the ftp servers).

Note: Your traffic date will be updated every night. This means that the traffic that you have done before 8 days will be removed that night. - NetAdmin team, 2010-03-03 18:47:28

Lounge & Wiki

Now we have two new sites available.
At first there is an internal Wiki, with all the stuff you have to know and the possibility to have some discussions or the chance to get rid of some things to everybody in the ASK.
The second page is the ASK-Lounge site with alle the information of the next parties and pictures of the latest ones.
You can find the links to these pages on the top of this pages.

Notice: You are only able to access the Wiki if you have the internal IP address.

Peer2Peer is bad

Due to a recent incident we would like to remind you that the usage of peer-2-peer software is prohibited in the ASK network. This includes software like BitTorrent, Emule and other file-sharing tools. Due to the fact that everything you download using this software is shared accross the internet copyright infringements may occur even unconsiously (be aware of possible legal effects). Additionally, P2P usage slows down the network for all other users in the ASK. Everyone, who uses this technology anyway, must be aware that misuse may lead to, at least, exclusion of the user from the network.

You are now able to register an account to access the internet by yourself and add hosts. Any information you need to have can be found here.
That's the reason of some internet downtimes in the past.
